Lucent Core Values

Our values are the principles we use to run the Company on a daily basis. They are so important that they are the source of our entire Code — a sort of ethical backbone. They are clear and simple. Our values are the foundation of everything we do.

All Lucent employees are committed to comply with the core values of the Company. Whether we are working on site for our customers or in our office premises we must be role model of integrity. It is the duty of every individual to be familiar with the policies and code of company.

Who must follow the code?

We expect all of our employees and Board members to know and follow the Code. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Moreover, while the Code is specifically written for Lucent’s employees and Board members, we expect our contractors, consultants, and others who may be temporarily assigned to perform work or services for the Company to follow the Code in connection with their work for us.

It is the duty of employees to uphold the company’s core value.

Our ethical Values

At lucent ethics matters the most. We believe while pursuing our goal, we must consistently incorporate ethical standards in our activities.

Integrity

  • All lucent employees are required to promote integrity.
  • It is expected from everyone to be honest, fair and respectful during their engagement with organization.
  • Report genuinely suspected wrongdoing and corrupt conduct to HR dept.
  • It is clear expectation that a employee must properly use their power or position. If used improperly will be subjected to disciplinary action.

  • We must ensure that we never verbally or physically mistreat others or engage in offensive behavior, and we should not tolerate those who do.
  • We are committed to follow fair employment practices that provide equal opportunities to all employees.

  • Following Business Ethics

    We enjoy reputation for integrity as it a part of our success. We are subjected by certain regulations and we must ensure that we comply with them.

    Particular care must be taken when interacting with government officials. This includes employees of any government, candidates for political office and employees of businesses controlled by the government.

    We should never offer, directly or indirectly, any form of gift, entertainment or anything of value to any government official including customers or their representatives. Bribery thus raises the risks of doing business, putting a company’s bottom line and reputation in jeopardy.

    Commitment to customers and suppliers:

    We have NDA Nondisclosure Agreement in place which is signed by every employee that defines the confidentiality obligation to company and its customer.

    We have access to significant customer information, and we are required to preserve the confidentiality of information obtained from customer. Information of a confidential, private and sensitive nature must be used responsibly and controlled and protected. It is duty of every employee to prevent its prohibited, arbitrary or careless disclosure.

    The confidential information about customers and our company or other dealing parties must not be used for any personal advantages.

    Accurate Financial Reporting:

    The integrity of any financial transaction and records is critical to the operation of business. Additionally as a company, we must come up with accurate financial reporting. We are required to take every step with precaution, whether we are otherwise required to be familiar with finance or accounting matters or not. This is to ensure that every task you deal is filled with complete accuracy.

    It is our duty to retain all important documents and before taking any action we must seek approval of our reporting supervisor.

    Zero Tolerance for Unprofessional Behavior

    Lucent is committed to provide a work environment where there is no discrimination. All employees are treated equally with respect regardless of gender, race, religion or belief, ethnic or social origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, or other personal aspects. No Behavior can be tolerated that constitute harassment, sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying, retaliation or any related act.

    Any employee found to breach these conditions will be subjected to strict disciplinary action. This may include an oral or written warning. This may also lead to termination of services.

    Harassment: Harassment is any improper and unwelcome conduct on the part of one or more lucent employee that might reasonably be expected or perceived to cause offence or humiliation to another colleague. Harassment may be communicated in the form of words, gestures, or other actions that annoy, alarm, abuse, demean, intimidate, hostile or otherwise cause humiliation or embarrassment to another person or offensive work environment.

    Sexual Harassment: It includes any unwelcome verbal or physical conduct or gesture of a sexual nature, or any other behavior of a sexual nature that has caused, or that might reasonably be expected or perceived to cause, offence, or humiliation to another colleague.

    Discrimination: Discrimination is any unfair treatment including actions, made either directly or indirectly, based on unwarranted distinctions.  It may include a series of events or a one-time incident.

    Bullying: Bullying is the use of force, threat often repeated and habitual, to abuse, intimidate, or dominate others. Behaviors used to assert domination may also be included.

    Retaliation: Retaliation is an action taken directly or indirectly against a co-worker having made a report in good faith of harassment or discrimination or any other related acts.

    All complaints must be directly reported to reporting manager. In case if an individual is not satisfied with the subsequent actions of manager he/she can directly write to HR dept.

    Responsibilities

    Lucent employees must:

    • 1. Maintain the highest standards of conduct.
    • 2. Communicate with their colleagues in respectful manner.
    • 3. Behave in a manner that is free of hostility, offence and any form of harassment.
    • 4. Addressing any unprofessional behavior on time.
    • 5. Respect the confidentiality of complaints and fully cooperate with any investigation or disciplinary procedure.

    Lucent management must:

    • 1. Uphold the highest standards of conduct in order to achieve organization goals with high professional standard.
    • 2. Communicate Code of Conduct of Lucent for a professional working environment to all employees both directly and indirectly through their dealings with employees.
    • 3. Act as a resource for those who face unprofessional behavior.
    • 4. Ensure any incident reported due to unprofessional behavior is addressed promptly and fairly.
    • 5. Ensure that all discussions, communications, and actions related to reports of unprofessional behavior are handled with sensitivity and confidentiality.

    Reporting Complaints

    • 1. Lucent employees subjected to unprofessional behavior can write a complaint to HR dept.
    • 2. The complainant must be aware that copy of complaint will be shared with alleged offender to provide countervailing arguments and evidence. All attempts will be made to resolve the complaint by reaching to informal resolution.
    • 3. The complaint must be made in good faith and cannot be based on rumors. Spreading rumors or making a deliberately false report, verbally or in writing, constitutes misconduct. In this case it will be documented in the personnel file of the complainant.
    • 4. HR dept in support with lucent leadership investigates on the complaint and comes to the outcome. The copy of formal complaint will be placed in the personal file of offender and copy of official outcome will be placed in the personal file of complainant.
    • 5. If both parties decide to go for mutual agreement and do not wish to proceed. They will notify HR dept in writing and the case will be closed.
